Bike commuting is meditation while moving

Bike commuting is meditation while moving

Toothpaste, coffee or tea, and a bike. This is our morning routine. Long time ago, in an inspired day, we gave up cars and public transportation and bought a bicycle. Our city conveyance allows us to get to work happy and relaxed. Of course, there are big chances to arrive completely wet, sprinkled with mud or with sun burns, but this doesn't affect our happines. Also, we work harder and faster, because two spoke wheels are waiting for us like a faithful friend. We are the city cyclists.

The city cyclists are a heterogenous group. We accept various types of members from children and teenagers to their grandparents, from businessmen to art students, from athletes to overweight people. We don't judge the way you look or dress, but it is possible to ask you a lot of questions about your bike. Our bikes are lovely, indeed. Colorful, joyful, with baskets and flowers, with shopping bags and children chairs, tandem bicycles, with accomodation for dogs, with all kinds of lights. We have many accessories, mainly because we tend to forget that we carry them on a bike. You can recognize a city cyclist by some of the following items: hats, umbrellas and colorful raincoats, coffee cups, high heels and floral skirts, fancy gloves, sunglasses on a rainy day.

We know people think it will take longer to get from point A to point B on a bicycle. They are right. You could get faster than a car, a pedestrian or a bus, but you won't. It's so much fun taking the longest route and enjoying your ride. Who gets up early, rides longer!
